Case Story: Construction of a borehole for the Buhumuriro village
Sector: Water
Project: Borehole construction
Location: Buhumuriro village, Mbarara, Uganda

In the heart of Buhumuriro village, Mbarara, Uganda, families face a daily struggle: a constant lack of clean water. Women and children walk miles to find water, making daily life a challenge.
A few months ago, Missio Malta received a request from the Archbishop of Mbarara to help build a borehole, a vital solution that provides clean water year-round for drinking, cooking, farming, and other daily needs. With access to fresh water, children can focus on their education instead of spending hours searching for it.
Construction is already underway, and Missio Malta is working closely with the local community to make this dream a reality! However, to ensure sustainability, we need an electric pump powered by solar energy.
