In 2023, Missio Malta was called to support the Bloemfontein Archdiocese in South Africa. Their mission involves running a daycare for disabled children, a small clinic, a center for children to play and grow, as well as other community projects. But they needed more than just care, they needed a sustainable way to support these projects and help families living in extreme poverty. With your help, a mobile kitchen and bakery became a reality! Today, young adults from the community are employed to bake 300 loaves of bread daily. This bread not only feeds the daycare and local families but is also sold to sustain these vital projects.

Beyond providing food, the bakery is changing lives by offering skills training and employment to young people who had few opportunities. With steady work, they can now support their families and build a brighter future. Every loaf is more than food, it’s a symbol of hope, opportunity, and a brighter future.
