Lumezi Mission Hospital

Lumezi Mission Hospital was established in 1948 by White Sisters of Ireland and has been providing health care services to the people of Lumezi and beyond ever since. It is one of the most efficient health institutions in Zambia and as such attracts a lot of people who come to seek help for various health challenges.

The current situation in Lumezi Mission Hospital is a challenging one since most poor families have watched in horror how their loved ones have died due to lack of oxygen at the hospital.

Project Need

With Zambia experiencing the third wave of Covid-19 pandemic, cases especially in rural areas have grown exponentially. This has resulted in the grounding of the already inadequate health care systems. Lumezi Mission Hospital has seen a sharp increase in the hospitalization of Covid-19 cases that sadly end up requiring oxygen therapy. Because of lack of critical equipment, many people have lost their lives, leaving behind orphaned children.

In view of this Lumezi Mission Hospital is seeking your support to procure 6 Double Bottle Oxygen Concentrators and 6 Humidifier Bottles to help treat Covid-19 patients which has a total cost of €8,612.02

This project will bring relief to communities surrounding the hospital.

Thank you for your support.
