The first review of Malta Missjunarja was published on 1st October 1931. Six months after the issue of the Archbishop’s Decree, the first number of the review Malta Missjunarja was published. Fr. Nikol Zammit was appointed editor and had his office at 227, Merchants Street, Valletta. Annual subscription was one shilling (€ 0.12). The aim of this review was to give information about the Missions, their situation and their needs, and the sacrifices and hardships endured by the missionaries. Today Malta Missjunarja is one of the oldest magazines written in Maltese and reaches out to a wide audience displaying work in the missions, inspirational articles, recipes amongst other interesting items.
