The main objectives of Missio Tfal are to create awareness and to support mission projects involving children, through various activities example ‘Sock It To Poverty’, ‘Casual Day’ that involve Maltese and Gozitan children to help other children worldwide.
Therefore, Missio Tfal is encouraging schools to organize an activity in aid of various orphanages around the world. This goes with this year’s slogan #missioisyou. MissioTfal encourages heads of schools, teachers and children to participate in these activities.
It will be an occasion for the head of school and students to present the money themselves during the marathon broadcasting on the 13th March from noon till midnight on all TV stations.
Catechism Campaign
MissioTfal is also involving children attending catechism in parishes. They are encouraged to help the children in various orphanages by collecting some money from their pocket money during Lent in the money box that they can assemble themselves at home on recycled carton. And also to show their solidarity by writing a small encouraging message to these children on a postcard provided. These postcards are going to be sent to the various orphanages in India, Africa, and Asia. This goes well with this year’s slogan #missioisyou.
The money collected from the various parishes can also be presented by the catechism children or parish priests on the marathon broadcasting on the 13th March from noon till midnight on all TV stations.
